☆ usagi's diary entry 1 - text + pictures

Hey everyone! I just thought I'd write this in here since I know some people were wondering about my allies before and all, and.. well, a lot happened lately, so I've got to keep my friends here up to date too, right? You're all super important to me too, after all!

After some fights with monsters, us four sailor soldiers are finally complete! They're all so great! Luna yelled at me and told me to not tell anyone about it, but I know I can trust you guys. Our secret, okay? Hehe!


This is Ami-chan! She goes to the same school as me, but she's on a whole different level, you know! She's the local genius girl and they say she has an IQ of over 300.. which is.. um, a lot, I guess? [ Good job, Usagi. ] She's Sailor Mercury!


And then this here is Rei-chan. She's a beautiful shrine maiden, but honestly, her temper's pretty scary! She seems to have some sort of sixth sense too.. and her power as Sailor Mars is fire! Since she's hot-headed, get it?! Hehehe, I thought that one was so funny!


And then the last one aside from me is Mako-chan! She looks sort of scary, but she's honestly really sweet, sort of like a big sister! And her food is delicious, I'll have to ask her for cake sometime.. oh, and she's really strong, it's like she is tough yet really feminine, it's amazing! She's Sailor Jupiter.

And I know I've already told some people about Tuxedo Mask, but.. when I said I was handsome, just that probably wasn't enough to convince you! Here, I got this out of today's newspaper, there was a picture of him in there! Isn't he completely handsome? He shows up to help me out each time, and.. hehe, I guess you could say I sort of have a crush on him! It's the biggest secret of all though, so don't tell anyone, okay?


So.. with the four of us together, Luna told me I have to be the leader now. Our goal is to find this Silver Crystal that apparently has a lot of power, and we need to protect the Moon Princess once we find her.. it sounds like a pretty heavy duty, huh? And then I'm supposed to be the leader, even though Ami-chan's so smart and Mako-chan's so tough and Rei-chan has a leader's attitude.. compared to that, can a crybaby like me really lead them to do all of that and protect a real princess against the Dark Kingdom and its monsters?

.. Hehe, it sounds a little scary, doesn't it? But I guess all I can do is try my best!

Y.. your world is that cruel?! Lydia-chan, how can you survive without all that stuff? I bet you can't even play the Sailor V game whenever you want to, then what would you even do with your free time..?!

What is Sailor V?

[ Is it a sailor with a V on his coat? What does the V stand for? ]

[selene]

[ No one knows what the V stands for since Minako keeps changing it every other minute.. ]

Oh, do you see that newspaper up there? The girl beneath that picture of me is Sailor V! She's been fighting crime all over the place since before any of us became sailor soldiers! She's my idol..!

[moonspell]

That's pretty amazing. She sounds like a powerful vigilante.

[selene]

I know! I'm glad you think she's so cool too! [ Can you tell that Usagi is a fangirl yet. ]

I want to become just like her one day..!

[moonspell]

I'm sure you will. You're a powerful hero now as well, after all.

[selene]

[ .. o-oh, putting it like that.. honestly, she actually seems a little flustered, or maybe even openly happy - she's about to cry. In a.. good way.. ]

Lydia-chan..! You're too kind, do you really think I'm a hero now?

[moonspell]

I think you've got a kind heart and power to go with it, don't you? So I have faith you'll be able to be a great hero.

[selene]

Well, I do have power, but.. I'm pretty clumsy, you know? So even during battles Luna still scolds me a lot, and then my new friends are even more amazing with their powers.

[moonspell]

You'll just have to practice more, right?

[selene]

Practice is hard though..! I keep getting kicked down and it hurts my butt a lot!

[moonspell]

Isn't there a way to practice falling without getting hurt?

[ The number one thing Usagi needs to practice. ]

[selene]

How can you fall and not get hurt, Lydia-chan?

[ It's a complete mystery to her.. but solving that mystery would save her a lot of pain. ]

I mean, falling is meant to hurt! There's no way around it!

[moonspell]

Well they have special fighting styles for that, don't they? I'll ask Edgar for you.

[selene]

W-.. woah, wait-- Can Edgar onii-san really fight? He knows about all that stuff?! [ BUT HE JUST SEEMED LIKE A DREAMY PRINCE CHARMING.. ]

[moonspell]

I'm not sure how well he himself can since Raven takes care of most of the combat, but he does know people who would be professionals..

[selene]

Maybe he's a secret superhero too! Lydia-chan, if you're ever saved by a mysterious man wearing a tuxedo and a mask, you'll know who it is!

[ Tuxedo Edgar.. ]

[moonspell]

He's absolutely not a superhero and the only reason he'd wear a mask were if he were at a masquerade ball.

[selene]

I bet he could be a great superhero though.. he'd be just as charming as Tuxedo Mask! I wouldn't even know who to pick anymore..!

[moonspell]

If anything Edgar's a refined villain more than he is a hero of any kind.

[selene]

.. Huh..? No way, Edgar onii-san isn't like that! He's so nice and charming, like a real prince charming..!

[moonspell]

He's got you completely fooled. He's a complete rake and a myriad of other things I'd rather not get into.

[selene]

It takes quite a while before she answers, but.. ]

Why would he be some sort of thing you use in the garden..?

It's a word that means the same thing as philanderer or playboy.
